B. Hamilton is an Oakland, California power-trio and song graveyard made up of songwriter Ryan Christopher Parks, drummer Raj Kumar Ojha (Once and Future Band), and bassist Ian Miller (Kowloon Walled City). They cut their teeth in the warehouse days of Oakland around 2010 and have recorded a bunch of records in flop-house attics, former military barracks turned noise musician kennels, and their rehearsal space in Jack London Square.

Existing before and after Tech created complete chaos in Oakland inadvertently became the subject of a number of their songs. Other songs are about other things. Like hating John Wayne, buying lottery tickets, god-awful dyslexic authors, and sweet, sweet failure.

2025’s full-length “B. Hamilton” deals heavily with grief. Grief from Parks’ father’s death in 2017 from a gruesome battle with brain cancer. Grief from 36 people who left the earth on the night of December 2nd, 2016, and simultaneously left an entire community decimated and distraught. And grief from a previous life that was probably robbed from all of us in March 2020.
